What Do I Need?
If you’re starting out then all you need is some enthusiasm and a willingness to learn – you don’t need bowls. The Club has sets of lawn bowls that can be used free of charge. Clothing is neat and tidy casual, and comfortable flat-soled shoes. After a time you can choose to get a playing uniform.
Functions
The Club caters to all types of business, corporate, club, family and community functions or events. Our rates are affordable and very competitive. As well, the bar facilities are licensed for up to 125 people and additionally there’s a well equipped commercial kitchen. When you’re looking for an affordable wedding venue – call and arrange a visit.

The Club
Established in 1903 in a beautiful bush and garden setting with two high quality playing lawns and modern clubrooms. This is a club for the community and inclusive for all. There are active regular competitions for men and women. Our not so serious and social players, and non-players are also well catered for.
Covid Status
Health risk from COVID-19 isn’t much in the news these days but it is still around with people feeling the effects.
In the last week of January 260 people reported COVID in the Hutt Valley.
Guidance is still to stay at home for five days if you’re unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19.
Don’t forget to get your booster shot when it’s due. Please be careful, use common sense and don’t expose others to this risk.
At the Club – please stay away if you’ve got Covid symptoms; take a test, wear a mask.
